Meet the Staff

Liz L., LVT

Liz was born in North Hollywood, California, but grew up right here in Kentucky. She always knew she wanted to help people and dreamed of working in the medical field, but didn’t consider veterinary medicine until high school. Having the lucky opportunity to attend Locust Trace Agriscience Center in its second year, she fell in love with veterinary technology and is one of the first graduates of the Veterinary Assisting program. She received her bachelor’s in Veterinary Technology at Murray State University in 2019 and became licensed that same year. Liz felt called back home and knew Locust Trace Veterinary Clinic was just that. When she isn’t at the clinic running things behind the scenes, she can be found traveling with her family, drinking bubble tea with friends, or carrying her cat, Beans N’ Queso. You can trust Liz, knowing that she will advocate for the best care for your fur baby.

Grace O.

Grace is one of our assistants in the clinic. Grace completed a Bachelor’s degree in wildlife science at Auburn University. She hopes to go to vet school and become a wildlife veterinarian working with endangered species and making a difference through conservation. In the meantime, Grace is thrilled to be making a difference in our community by helping people and their pets here at Locust Trace!

Julia H.

Julia was born and raised in Versailles, Ky, but is mainly Lexington-based. After discovering her passion for veterinary medicine at a young age, she attended Locust Trace Agriscience Center and began as an intern in our clinic at the ripe age of 16. After being hired in September 2020, she earned her AVA Certification that same year. Jules is most known for her kind heart and lively personality. Aside from working with animals, she works with kids as a dance teacher and dances professionally. During her limited free time, you may find her hanging with friends and playing with her dog, Dozer.

Dory C.

Her smiling face or tiny voice is usually the first thing you will encounter when you enter. She attended Locust Trace Agriscience Center the first year it was open in 2011. She then graduated and went on to pursue a degree at the University of Kentucky in Animal Science. She returned to Locust Trace in 2018, and we have been stuck with her since. She has one fur baby named Leo, who just celebrated his sweet sixteen plus one. When she isn’t spending time spoiling him, she enjoys spending time with friends and family (usually eating). She volunteers at a non-profit and dances. We are so lucky to have Dory on our team!

Cheyenne B.

Cheyenne is one of our assistants. She is currently enrolled in the Penn Foster Vet Tech Program. She currently has two fur babies: Ifan, the cat, and Milo, the dog. Her greatest passion has always been in animal care. Outside of work, you can catch her hiking the trails or attending some of the local festivals. She is always happy to help provide good quality care to our patients.

Stephanie M.

Stephanie moved from Michigan to Kentucky in 2007. She went to college for two years for criminal justice but then realized her passion was working with animals. She plans to attend Medquest to pursue a veterinary technology degree. She has been married for five years and has three wonderful girls. She also has two rabbits, Ash and Odie, and a dog, Ghost Malone. She spends her downtime with family or attending to her online boutique.
