How We Care for Your Exotic Pets
Exotic pets need care from a veterinarian to maintain their health. Our veterinary team understands that different animals have different needs, and we’re here to provide for your special pet.
Wellness Care
Routine wellness visits are an important part of keeping your exotic pet healthy. During your pet’s visit, an exotic veterinarian will perform a thorough examination, discuss their daily routine, and address any concerns you may have. If you are new to exotic animal ownership, we are happy to discuss proper care and habitat setup.
Vaccines
Locust Trace Veterinary Clinic offers vaccinations for ferrets and rabbits to support their long-term health. Our veterinary team will discuss your pet’s needs and recommend a vaccination schedule so that your small mammal pets are protected and in accordance with rabies vaccine laws (for ferrets).
Surgery
Sometimes, exotic pets need more than routine care. Our exotics veterinarian can perform certain surgical procedures for exotic pets on a case-by-case basis. We will carefully evaluate your pet’s condition to determine whether we can provide the necessary surgical care or recommend another exotic animal care provider.
